West Bengal School Service Commission has published their Group C and Group D exam notification on 9th October 2025. They have announced about the exam vacancy. Group C has 2989 vacancies and Group D has 5488 vacancies. Total vacancy is 8477. We will mention below the important dates here.

Eligibility Criteria of WBSSC Group C Exam 2025
WBSSC has set some eligibility criteria before applying for WBSSC Group C Exam 2025. The authority has given an age limit and educational qualification that the candidates must have to carry before applying. We have elaborated those criteria below.
WBSSC Group C Age Limit
- The minimum age limit is 18 years.
- The maximum age limit is 40 years.

WBSSC Group C Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have to carry School Final/Madhyamik Certificate or its equivalent from any recognized board.
- Old H.S. in lieu of School Final/ Madhyamik or its equivalent will also be applicable.
- Candidates must have to speak, read and write in Bengali.
Selection Process of WBSSC Group C Exam 2025
WBSSC Group C Exam carries three sections. Candidates have to pass in the exams to go ahead towards the next exam.
- Candidates have to appear in the written exam of 60 marks.
- Then 10 number will be for the Academic Number.
- 5 numbers are for Experience.
- An interview worth number 10 will be held.
- Computer-based test worth 15 points will be conducted.
If candidates pass every test, they will be selected.
WBSSC Group C Exam 2025 Online Application Process

- Candidates must have to visit the WBSSC Group C Official Website for application.
- Then click on the “Apply Now” button.
- Fill the section of ID and password, then login to the candidate portal.
- Fill the gaps as per requirements for Group C application.
- Upload the documents needed.

- Pay the application fee and you will be notified about your admit card and examination date.

Online Application Fee of WBSSC Group C Exam 2025
WBSSC has set a different fee structure according to the casts. They can pay fee through online mode by different process including net banking, credit card and debit card.
- The application fee is 140 Rupees for the General Category for the WBSSC Group D examination.
- The application fee is 70 Rupees for the categories SC, ST, OBC and PH.
- Once the fee is deducted from the bank for the examination, there will be no chances to get it back.
