The WBSSC SLST Recruitment, State Level Selection Test, is a competitive teacher recruitment examination group conducted in West Bengal. What is WBSSC SLST?

The West Bengal Government conducts a WB Madrasah Service Commission exam to recruit teachers in the Madrasahs of West Bengal. Candidates are requested not to confuse the two examinations.

Age Limit
- The minimum age is 21 years.
- The maximum age is 40 years as of 1st January 2025.Â
- The Upper age limit is relaxable as per the Government for SC, ST, OBC and Physically Handicapped candidates.

Assistant Teacher for Upper Primary Level in Schools
- Graduation and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and a 1-year Bachelor’s in Education. OR
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and a 1-year Bachelor’s in Education. OR
- Senior Secondary or its equivalent with 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor’s in Elementary Education (B.El Ed). OR
- Senior Secondary or its equivalent with 50% marks and a 4-year BA /BSc BEd or BA Ed / BSc Ed. OR
- Graduation with 50% marks and 1 Year Bed ( Special Education ) AND Pass in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the Govt as per NCTE Guidelines.
Assistant Teacher for classes IX to X in the School
- Graduate / Post Graduate from a recognised University with 50% marks in either graduation or post graduation with BEd from a NCTE recognised institution. OR
- Graduate / Post Graduate from a recognised University with 45% marks in either graduation or post graduation with BEd from a NCTE recognised institution as per NCTE Guidelines dated 10/12/2017. OR
- 4-Year Degree of BA Ed / BSc Ed from any NCTE recognised Institution. Assistant Teacher for classes XI to XII in School – (Group 3)Post Graduate with 50 % marks from a recognised University and B.Ed Qualification for NCTE Recognised Institution. OR
- Post Graduate from a recognised University with 45% marks in either graduation or post graduation with BEd from an NCTE recognised institution as per NCTE Guidelines dated 10/12/2017. OR
- Post Graduate with 50 % marks with BA Ed / BSc Ed from any NCTE recognised Institution.
Salary Structure For WBSSC-SLST
- Basic Pay varies according to post (Secondary School and Higher Secondary School)
- Grade Pay & Allowances include DA, HRA, and other benefitsÂ
- Net Salary is approximately Rupees 35,000 to Rupees 65,000
