Bihar STET Exam Pattern

The Bihar STET Exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 for candidates aspiring to teach Classes 9-10 and Paper 2 for those aiming to teach Classes 11-12. Both papers have 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with each correct answer carrying one mark, and there is no negative marking.

Most questions focus on the subject chosen by the candidate, while the rest cover General Knowledge, Teaching Aptitude, and Relevant Educational Topics. The total duration of the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes (150 minutes), requiring effective time management. The exam is conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) format, and candidates can attempt it in Hindi or English, except for language-based subjects like Hindi, English, Sanskrit, and Urdu, which must be attempted in their respective languages.

Subject knowledge is the most significant factor for achieving high scores, making it the essential section. The general awareness and teaching aptitude section assesses a candidate’s grasp of the education system and their instructional skills. Being familiar with the online exam format is advantageous, especially in CBT mode. With no penalties for wrong answers, candidates are motivated to answer all questions attempted.
