Navodaya Vidyalaya Teaching Recruitment:

JNVs offer teaching positions at various levels:

  • Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs): Teachers responsible for imparting education in the senior secondary level (classes XI and XII). The subjects include Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, English, and more.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Recruitment: Non-Teaching Positions

Navodaya Vidyalaya offers a wide range of career opportunities to fulfill administrative needs of the schools. These roles helps in the smooth running of the schools.

NVS Non-Teaching Positions:

NVS offers Non-Teaching Positions, such as:

  • Clerks: The clerks recruited in NVS schools are responsible for clerical and administrative work. The works  includes record-keeping, typing, document processing, and handling student inquiries.
  • Laboratory Assistants: The lab assistants will mange day-to-day laboratory activities, ensure safety of students during any laboratory work, and assist school teachers during practical lessons.
  • Librarians: The librarians will manage the school library, maintaining records, arranging books and ensuring students have access to the necessary reading materials.

NVS Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti recruitment  based on the type of position. Here are the general criteria for teaching roles:

Educational Qualification

PGT (Post Graduate Teachers): A Master’s degree in the subject the candidate applied to from a recognized university along with a B.Ed. degree and proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English. Candidate should posses knowledge of computer. 

TGT (Trained Graduate Teachers): Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in the concerned subjects and also in aggregate. The candidate should have studied the subjects they have applied to in all three years of degree course. Along with that, the candidate must have passed the CTET exam and have a B.Ed degree. Candidate must have a competence in teaching in Hindi/ English or in Regional language.

PRT (Primary Teachers): A Bachelor’s degree with a teaching diploma or equivalent qualification. Some posts may also require a proficiency in English and Hindi.

Age Limit:

The age limit for various teaching positions typically ranges from 35 to 40 years. For Post Graduate Teachers the age limit is 40 years, and for TGT and other teaching posts the candidates must not cross 35 years of age. There will be provision for relaxation as per the government norms. candidates from reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, and PWD).

Experience:

To get selected as a NVS teacher the Management committee has decided to implement a few desirable conditions for recruitment. Some posts, particularly the TGT and PGT level posts, may require prior teaching experience in recognized schools. For Principal or Vice Principal positions, significant experience in educational leadership such as managing schools may be required. Candidates will have to possess a great command of English and Hindi language for every teaching post.
