UGC NET June 2025 Expected Cut Off
National Testing Agency conducted the UGC NET 2025 exam in June. The candidates who attended the exam can look for the cutoff marks to alleviate their concerns and determine their performance. Therefore, NTA will soon publish the UGC NET 2025 cutoff on its official website. By checking the cutoff on the official website of NTA, candidates will be able to assess their performance and rank of the results based on subject and category. UGC NET Cut Off 2025 – Category Wise
The UGC NET cutoff 2025 will soon be available on the official website. All candidates will be able to find the cutoff for 85+ subjects there. Through the UGC NET cutoff marks, candidates will understand the qualifying criteria to pass the exam.
The passing marks for the UGC NET exam differ for candidates from various categories. General and EWS category candidates need to score at least 40% in both Paper 1 and Paper 2 to qualify for the UGC NET exam. Candidates from the OBC, SC, ST, PwD, and transgender categories need to score at least 35% in both papers to qualify.
Important Points for UGC NET 2025
Before looking at the UGC NET cutoff marks, here are some important points:
- Very few candidates will be eligible for the Assistant Professor position if they clear the cutoff for both Paper I and Paper II.
- The total number of seats is divided among various categories as per the Indian government’s reservation policy.
- To be considered for the Assistant Professor post, candidates must pass both Paper I and Paper II.
- General (unreserved) and EWS candidates need to obtain at least 40% total marks in both papers to qualify.
- SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), PwD, and transgender candidates need to score at least 35% total marks in both papers to qualify.
- The WB NET cutoff 2025 determines eligibility for Assistant Professor positions in each subject and category based on the total number of seats.
- The same method is used to calculate the cutoff for eligibility across all subjects and categories.
- For transgender candidates, the UGC NET cutoff has been set as the lowest among the mentioned cutoffs for SC, ST, PwD, OBC, and EWS categories.
