The Railway Recruitment Board has declared multiple openings for sub-inspector positions within the Railway Police Force and the Railway Protection Special Force for 2024. The positions encompass all RRB zones. Along with the recruitment notification, RRB has announced 452 openings for the RPF SI position. Although the application process ended in May, the examination schedule has been revised again, with dates now set between December 2 and 12, 2024. RPF SI Examination Overview: RRB 2024

After a long wait, RRB finally announced several vacancies in different sectors in 2024. They have announced recruitment vacancies in the RPF SI posts. The Railway Recruitment Board conducts the RPF SI examination for the recruitment of sub-inspectors in RPF and RPSF. The selection process for the exam is divided into four parts:

  • Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Physical Examination Test (PET)
  • Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
  • Document Verification

RPF SI Exam Revised Schedule:

The Railway Recruitment Board has published the revised exam schedule for RPF SI recruitment. The exam will happen anytime between the 2nd to 12th of January 2025. RPF SI examination is a national-level test conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board under the authorization of the Ministry of Railways

RPF SI Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for the RPF SI examination, one must fulfil some eligibility criteria. Let’s learn about the eligibility criteria for the RPF SI exam:

  • Candidates must have a graduation degree from any recognized university
  • Candidates must have Indian citizenship to sit for this examination.
  • Normally the age limit for RPF SI is 20-28 years, but this year 3 years of relaxation have been made due to covid-19 pandemic.
  • Physical fitness will be assessed during the PET.

Exam Structure of RPF SI 

The RPF SI exam will be in CBT mode. Candidates who are aspiring to join Indian Railways must know that this CBT test contains 120 MCQ questions of 1 mark with negative markings for (1 mark will be deducted for 3 wrong answers) wrong attempts. Apart from Hindi and English, candidates can easily choose their language for the exam. RRB has provided 15 languages to choose from.  However, we will provide you with a detailed guide for exam structure, to gear up your preparation.

After CBT, qualified candidates must go through three more phases to successfully get the position in Indian Railways. PET, PMT and Document verification procedures are equally important to succeed in exams.

RPF SI Examination Fee Structure

Here is the fee structure of RRB RPF RECRUITMENT 2024.

1. For all candidates (except categories mentioned below at Sl. No. 2) Out of this fee of 500/-, an amount of 400/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges as applicable, on

appearing in the CBT

2.  For candidates who belong to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Minorities or Economically Backward Class (EBC). This fee of ₹250/-shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges as
