People around us have different dreams regarding their careers most of the time in their lives. Some do not choose a safe and secure job and go ahead to serve the country and its people. Staff Selection Commission has released the SSC GD recruitment vacancies for these candidates.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has published a list of vacancies for various posts as required for the year 2026. Around 40 lacks candidates applied for the 25487 vacancies. In previous years, as many as 39481 vacancies were seen, out of which 35612 posts were declared for male candidates and 3869 posts were declared for female candidates.

Along with the SSC GD 2025 Notification PDF, the Eligibility Criteria specifics for every post are included. But this year, no applications for SSC GD 2026 have been published yet. Constable vacancies in BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, AR, SSF, and NCB are only eligible for applicants who satisfy the necessary qualifying conditions as stated by the commission. Below are the additional conditions, age limit, and educational qualification:
Candidates aspiring to become GD Constable (BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSF, SSB, and riflemen) must have passed 10th class or equivalent from a recognised board.
To be qualified for the SSC GD 2026 Exam, a candidate must be between eighteen and twenty-three years old. Candidates cannot have been born later than 01-01-2007 or earlier than 02-01-2002. Candidates falling under reserved groups are granted age relaxation according to government guidelines.
