What to Do After the KP Constable Result
If your name is on the list, start preparing for the physical round right away.
Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Your height, chest (for male candidates) and other measurements are checked against the official standards. Carry all original documents.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET): This covers running and other physical events. Start with regular running practice, build stamina and strength, eat well, and get enough sleep.
Documents to keep ready:
- Admit card (print two copies)
- Original ID proof
- Educational certificates
- Category or caste certificate, if applicable
- Recent passport-size photographs
Important warning: WBPRB has warned that any form of canvassing during PMT and PET can lead to cancellation of candidature. Do not trust agents or anyone who promises selection in exchange for money. The process is conducted by the board itself.
If You Are Not Shortlisted
Do not lose heart. Thousands of candidates compete for a limited number of posts, and a missed cut-off is not the end. Analyse your marks, work on weaker subjects such as General Knowledge, Arithmetic, Reasoning and Current Affairs, and keep an eye on upcoming West Bengal Police and Kolkata Police recruitment notifications.
